Edmonton – Alberta | October 19, 2026
The Edmonton Oilers recorded their lowest attendance for a home game since October 2022 during their matchup against the Utah Mammoth on Thursday, October 15, at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
Attendance reached 16,176 fans, compared with the arena's stated capacity of 18,347 spectators, about 2,171 seats below capacity.
The drop in attendance came despite the team's strong start this season, while some fans pointed to high prices for tickets, food and beverages inside the arena, as well as downtown parking costs, as possible reasons for the decline in turnout.
The game ended in a 4-2 loss for the Oilers against the Utah Mammoth.
This decline once again highlights the costs of attending sporting events in Edmonton and the extent to which they affect fans' ability to follow their teams from the stands.
