Local reports said the torrents flooded the Al-Fayd neighborhood and brought traffic there to a halt, while activists circulated footage of rushing water in the vicinity of the Municipal Stadium and the Citadel of Aleppo.
The circulated clips show large volumes of water flowing across roads and stone stairways, amid concerns about potential damage to property and infrastructure.
The relevant authorities warned residents against approaching torrent channels and low-lying areas or attempting to cross flooded roads.
These scenes once again highlight the importance of stormwater drainage network readiness and of strengthening rapid response to protect residents and property.
