In a notable precedent, the army of the occupation entity announced that it would allow its soldiers deployed inside Syrian territory to vote in the Knesset elections scheduled for today, Tuesday.
According to Hebrew-language media, the voting arrangements cover 9 military sites inside Syria, using mobile ballot boxes that reach soldiers at their deployment positions.
The move comes amid the continued military presence and incursions in southern Syria, including areas of Daraa and Quneitra, raising questions about the implications of turning incursion sites into military polling stations.
The occupation army said it had set up about 850 military polling stations, including mobile stations that reach its forces deployed in Syria, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip.
⚠️ The voting is intended for the occupation's soldiers, not for Syrian residents, and the exact locations of all ballot boxes inside Syria have not been announced.
