#flydubai | Hamam Al Hamami.. New information about FZ1073 co-pilot and his security background before the flight incident

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Senior intelligence and law enforcement officials have reported that the co-pilot of flydubai flight FZ1073, Omani national Hamam Al Hamami, had previously been suspended from flying duties by Oman Air after being classified as a "security risk." According to sources who spoke to ABC News, during Al Hamami's time as a trainee co-pilot at Oman Air in 2024, extremist materials were found in his possession, before he was allowed to continue working at the company in an administrative position. According to information verified by HANZALA, Al Hamami had previously resided in Syria and was influenced during that period by the ideas of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham. Investigations are currently focused on how Al Hamami, after having previously been suspended from flying and classified as a security risk, was later able to return to work in aviation and reach the position of co-pilot aboard the flydubai flight bound for Israel.
